Action:
Nick makes a list of most of the people appearing to Gatsby’s parties.
Gatsby wants Nick to join him at lunch in New York City. So both of them go downtown New York in Gatsby’s car. While driving they talk about the rumours which are told about Gatsby. But he insists that most of these stories which are told about him are not telling the truth.
They are driving very fast and as a result of this they get stopped by the police. But because of Gatsby having much influence in West Egg, the policeman, who did not recognize his car, lets them get away with it.
When they arrive in the restaurant in New York City, Gatsby introduces Nick to Mr. Wolfsheim, one of his business partners.
Suddenly Tom Buchanan comes up and greets Nick. But right after Nick introduced Gatsby to Tom, Gatsby has disappeared.
Later on Nick meets Jordan Baker and she tells him how Gatsby and Daisy got to know each other, how they became a couple within the year 1917 and that Gatsby is only throwing so many parties because he hopes to meet Daisy again and to start a new love.
