Contacts with the Outside

The contact with the outside is very important for an inmate. But even if the regulations are kept, there’s too little contact and a risk of getting isolated.
The book shows that very well in some passages of Steve’s notes.
He writes very often that he hates this place!

The life in prison can influence you so much and you can go out of your mind and get crazy in there. I think Steve got really despaired. He wrote, for example, in his notebook, that he wants to be away from this place.

Another passage shows how depressed people in jail can get.
