I don’t know Steve quite well, but it seems he wants to be cool and therefore he knows many bad dudes. He and Osvaldo are like fire and water. Such a great difference between them. I tried to repair a beeper, but it wouldn’t work. I asked Steve which school he goes to, but Osvaldo answered. He dissed Steve in saying that he is a faggot. But Steve didn’t say anything and I wondered. Osvaldo said that Steve is too shy because the Diablos, Osvaldo’s gang, would beat him up. But Steve said he would kick Osvaldo’s butt. I wondered about that because Steve doesn’t seem to be very tough. He is very shy. But he wants to pretend that he is tough and therefore he said that. Osvaldo just went on to defy him. I told Osvaldo to be careful because of Steve’s friends. (Can you really call them friends? Who is your friend in this society?) But Osvaldo stayed cool and provoked Steve in saying that hr has no friends. Steve didn’t know what to say anymore. He just wanted to protect himself and therefore he said “Why don’t you shut up?” And it went on like this. Osvaldo dissed Steve and Steve answered things, small children say, if they don’t know it any better. I believe Osvaldo as he said that Steve is just looking for a name. In the beginning I thought Steve is only a shy boy, but has some cruel friends. Later, as I talked to him, I recognized that he is very young. It is very interesting what you think about people, if you don’t know them.
